Inventor of Ethernet and founder of 3Com
Professor of Innovation, Muchison Fellow of Free Enterprise, University of Texas

Bob Metcalfe is an electrical engineer who co-invented Ethernet, founded 3Com and formulated Metcalfe’s Law. He is a general partner of Polaris Venture Partners and recently became Professor of Electrical Engineering and Director of Innovation at The University of Texas at Austin.
