Nancy Fechnay is an accomplished founder, investor, and mentor. Her greatest passion is positive impact venture capital. Nancy defines positive impact as scalable, profit-driven companies using disruptive innovation to address the world’s most pressing problems — mainly health and environment at this time.
Nancy was a Partner at Flight Ventures (the brainchild of Gil Penchina). Nancy launched the first AngelList syndicate in Europe in early 2015. Since then Flight has built the largest online group of investors in the world.
Nancy also mentors for the Vatican’s positive impact accelerator, Laudato Si, and Techstars. Nancy invests in high-growth tech companies (Angel through Series A) that have the potential to positively impact the world through scalable technology.
Nancy has been a part of the startup investing world for nine years. Starting her career in cleantech venture, Nancy has since worked for top firms, such as Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, and GE Ventures before becoming a partner at Flight and leading her own angel deals in all things tech.
In 2016 Nancy co-founded The Inspire Movement alongside Google in London. The Inspire Movement brings people together to share impactful stories of overcoming life’s greatest challenges in an effort to address the overwhelming problem of mental health in the 21st century.
Nancy regularly speaks at events and advises companies on how to keep adapting and growing through fast-paced change. (Past speaking engagements include SLUSH, Google HQ, CognitionX, Europas, Oslo Innovation Week, GIANT Health, and Websummit.)
