Carla is a B2C and B2B marketing expert with more than 25 years of experience advising top brands, including Intel, Microsoft, Whirlpool, Cisco, Procter & Gamble, General Motors, British Airways, W Hotels, Pharmacia, Cunard, Montblanc, TAG Heuer, Don Julio, Cointreau, Newman’s Own, Sweet Leaf Tea, Aquasana, Zarbee’s, and Deep Eddy Vodka.
Named one of the 50 best PR executives in the country by PR Week magazine, Carla began her marketing career in New York, where she held senior management roles at two of the world’s largest PR firms: Hill & Knowlton, where she was Senior Vice President and Managing Director, and GCI, where she served as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the North American Marketing Practice. Carla relocated from New York to Texas to become Chief Marketing Officer of a Sevin-Rosen-backed tech start-up that she helped to rebrand and reposition; the company was sold a year later. Carla then founded Dynabrand, which grew over ten years to become one of the highest-revenue, independent PR firms in the state of Texas.
Currently, Carla and her team at Dynabrand focus on advising and investing in emerging brands. In addition to her work at Dynabrand, Carla founded and runs a digital content company called The Salonniere that has garnered national recognition and won several awards. Carla is active in the non-profit communities in Austin and Nantucket, Massachusetts. She currently serves on or has served on the boards of the ZACH Scott Theatre, Ballet Austin, The Long Center for the Performing Arts, Arthouse/The Austin Museum of Art, Good Shepherd Episcopal School, Nantucket Historical Association, and the Dreamland Theater of Nantucket.
