As Principal Director of Data Science at frog, Charlie has led the vision and implementation of the data science organization and initiatives. frog now complements its traditional products with rigorous data science. Prior to joining frog, Charlie held a variety of roles including, Director of Data Science at Rosetta Stone, VP of R&D at a cybersecurity firm, a Research Physicist for the DOE & NNSA, and as a Research Astrophysicist for NASA. He has a real passion for languages, and speaks French, German, and Italian.
Charlie earned a B.S. in nuclear physics at The George Washington University, during which time he researched astrophysical phenomenon for a joint GWU/ NASA Goddard Spaceflight Center team. Charlie then earned his M.S. in physics from Georgetown University where he specialized in theoretical astrophysics with an extra-program concentration in entrepreneurship. Since then, Charlie has expanded to the data science domain, solving business and UX challenges with applied physics and machine learning. His team leads the industry in the development of adaptive, predictive and intelligent systems.
