Dave Hanson is a Dallas-based investor focused on discovering innovative startups, spotting big market opportunities, and building great businesses with a handful of entrepreneurs.

Hanson spent ten years in numerous leadership roles at Yahoo during the heyday of the internet giant’s growth where he produced original content, launched digital advertising platforms, and forged marketing partnerships with some of the world’s largest advertisers. He left Yahoo to build ECarList, an automotive SAAS company acquired by DealerTrack.

Since then, Hanson has repeated the cycle of investing, advising, and exiting several early-stage companies including 214 Interactive, Order My Gear, Ticker Tags, and Fixd Repair.

Hanson shares his business and investing activities on the “Dumb Money” YouTube channel as well as vlogging on “Hey there, Dave Here.” He is also co-owner of Inwood Tavern, the oldest bar in Dallas.
