Since the 1990s, Hank has founded a number of venture-backed companies, serving in CEO and executive advisory capacities. Under his direction, these companies received hundreds of millions in start-up and follow-on financing, culminating in successful IPOs and acquisitions.

Hank’s start-ups, focusing primarily on enterprise software for data and analytics, communications, and strategic planning, include Media Logic, iChat, Ventix Systems, Question Technologies, Troux Technologies, and most recently, Avention (Dun & Bradstreet).

Currently, hundreds of thousands of business professionals worldwide use software created by Hank and his teams to collect, analyze and employ various aspects of global business and consumer data. He is regarded as one of the top technical professionals in the world working within the recently exploding big data market segment.

Hank is a frequent speaker and contributor and currently serves as an executive advisor to technology start-ups as well as several university business school advisory committees. Hank’s publishing credits include technology texts and articles in numerous industry periodicals. He also has been awarded multiple technology patents.
