Kari Hernandez is the co-founder and president of INK, a PR agency of creative problem solvers working with tech, clean energy, and consumer businesses with an innovation story to tell. INK is headquartered in Austin with a new office in Denver and a 12-year track record of providing smart communications strategy, media relations, social media, design and content marketing to growth-stage companies.
With a rapidly growing staff of diverse communication talents and backgrounds, INK maintains strong client relationships and a happy culture and was named the best place to work by the ABJ and PR News. As president, Kari works with INK’s clients and account leads to set the story and the strategy for campaigns, leads INK’s new business efforts and brand evolution, and helps to guide INK business strategy and staff development. She is passionate about Austin’s growth and culture and devotes time to the Austin Technology Council and this mentor program.
Prior to founding INK, she worked with Porter Novelli Austin with a focus on the enterprise security sector, and with Golin in Dallas on PR for the semiconductor industry. She is married to Austin home builder David Hernandez of Roost Custom Homes and has two children Tessa (7) and Hayes (6).
