Philip ‘Flip’ Kromer cofounded and led the technical development of Infochimps, a pioneering startup in the Big Data / Cloud Computing arena. Following Infochimps’ acquisition by CSC, Flip moved into the office of the CTO and was named one of CSC’s inaugural Distinguished engineers. He has spoken at many industry conferences including South by Southwest, Strata, Velocity, and NIST. He wrote “Big Data for Chimps” (O’Reilly 2015), a guide to data science in practice, is a contributor to numerous open-source projects, and has led several projects to community adoption. He advises Litmus, Relato, Impossible Ventures and other startups on technology and product development.

Flip would love to provide technical guidance on building cloud architectures and big data processing pipelines, and also has much to share about focusing (or pivoting) your business hypothesis, and about building a great team and culture.
