Speaker Series: How gender influences opportunities & experiences

Throughout graduate school and her professional career, Dr. Paula Veach has explored how gender influences opportunities and experiences professionally and personally.  Further, her academic work investigates how identity emerges and changes through social interaction. She questions if identity is a social construction manufactured by expectation or if something else influences the manner in which women and men correspond.  Specifically, she has informed the existing body of literature through the use of photographs in explaining how females negotiate gender in a male dominated work environment.
