Winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2011, Christophe Lavigne embodies the entrepreneurial success story. He co-founded LDR, a medical device company, at an incubator in a small town in France. Investors in both France and Texas worked to get LDR and Christophe to Austin, and the rest is history: LDR was recently acquired by Zimmer Biomet for $1 billion. The lessons learned from that journey are inspiring for any entrepreneur. French Tech Austin is proud to have Christophe leading Austin’s French Tech Hub initiative to support French entrepreneurs, such as Speachme and Qowisio, who will talk about why they chose ATX for their U.S. operations.
