THE CENTER OF GRAVITY FOR ENTREPRENEURS IN TEXAS

DHS Silicon Valley Innovation Program Homeland Security Day: First Responders

January 24, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
RSVP FOR THIS EVENT

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) must rapidly identify and develop technologies to counter emerging threats. Through the engagement of, and partnership with first responders and the emergency preparedness and response community at every state, and at the local, state, tribal and federal level, the DHS Science & Technology (S&T) First Responders Group (FRG) pursues a better understanding of the response community’s needs and requirements, provides technical assistance and develops innovative solutions to the most pressing challenges faced during day-to-day and large-scale emergencies.

On January 24, the DHS S&T SVIP and the will bring together technology startups, investors, first responders and stakeholders to learn about the challenges confronting the nation’s first responders and how your tech company could help develop solutions for this critical group.

This event, co-hosted by the FRG, will provide technology startups and investors with an  opportunity to learn more about the mission of first responders, the technologies being used to complete their mission, and  technical areas where FRG and first responders seek solutions. The common goal is leveraging creative ideas and solutions to enhance mission capability. By participating, you’ll have the chance to help shape the program direction and impact the Country’s first responders.
