THE CENTER OF GRAVITY FOR ENTREPRENEURS IN TEXAS
Inside the Teenage Tech Mind
“Inside the Teenager Tech Mind” is a panel discussion that brings together some of the most interesting teens around to talk about tech in their lives and how they approach and use it to accomplish their work. This series will touch on a different aspect of their lives every month giving community members, STEM professionals, and even educators the chance to ask them questions about each topic. The idea is to educate adults about teens’ experience with technology in their everyday life and to help dispel any common myths about teens and technology. This program runs every 2nd Tuesday of the month.
November’s topic is:
Teen YouTubers creating their own worlds with a camera
Our new panel of teens explores the world of teenagers who run their own YouTube channels. They will talk about the worlds that they are familar with and why they felt it was important to share it with everyone. They will sit down and talk about how they got the idea for their channel and all the hard work that goes into producing their videos every week. This mix of teens showcases their talents from common genres of the YouTube world to unique channel ideas that these teens feel are under represented or not mainstream.
In order to provide a wide vareity of talents we wanted to make sure that we brought in teens from around different parts of Austin with different backgrounds for wanting to create their own YouTube channels in order to give people a good sense of talent and effort. Many of these stuents work very hard on teaching themselves how to create quality videos while also still keeping up with their homework.
Our topic is perfect for anyone looking to start their own YouTube channel and want to get a perspective from today’s teens on what gets their attention. This panel talk is perfect for kids, teens, and adults interested in starting their own channel and want to learn more about what all is involved in running your own channel.
This panel of students will be moderated with a mix of prepared questions and audience member questions.
If you wish to register for this program the first 10 people that sign up will get in for free. Once those tickets are gone, then you can pay either online or at the door. If you pay at the door there is no gurantee that a seat will be available so please arrive early.
