Chris Camillo, a pioneer in contextual data analysis, is one of the world’s top performing self-directed investors and published author of Laughing at Wall Street (MacMillan / St. Martin’s press, Oct 2011). In 2006 he applied a social data arbitrage trading strategy to invest $20k in the stock market, and in just over 3 years grew it to more than $2MM. Chris and his book have been featured on Fox Business Network, Bloomberg TV, CNBC.com, Forbes.com, and Business Week. Over the 10 year period ending in 2016, Chris has maintained an audited public markets investing track record of 91% annualized returns. Chris is a regular public speaker on the predictive effectiveness of contextual data analysis and it’s role in investment research. Beyond investing in the public markets, Chris has made a career of bringing new business concepts to market as an active early-stage investor/advisor and operational executive. Recent exits include Research Now, eCarList, Order My Gear, and TickerTags.
Dave Hanson is a Dallas-based investor focused on discovering innovative startups, spotting big market opportunities, and building great businesses with a handful of entrepreneurs. Hanson shares his business and investing activities on the “Dumb Money” and “Hey there, Dave Here” YouTube channels.
Jordan McLain is a Vlogger / Investor at DumbMoney.tv, Engineer, Angel Investor, Entrepreneur. Utilizing his background in engineering and data architecture, Jordan Co-founded several successful Dallas based startups. eCarList was the first big data company in the retail automotive space, and TickerTags was the first social listening platform aimed at institutional investors. With successful exits from both of these companies, Jordan spends his time giving back to the startup community via advising and investing in Texas based startups. Recent notable exits from Texas based investments include Order My Gear and Fixd Repair.
Joshua Baer helps people quit their jobs and become entrepreneurs. Josh founded his first startup in 1996 in his college dormitory at Carnegie Mellon University and now teaches a class at the University of Texas for student entrepreneurs. He has been recognized as a Henry Crown Fellow and Braddock Scholar at the Aspen Institute, a member of the National Committee on US-China Relations Young Leaders Forum, an Eisenhower Fellow, and a recipient of the Anti-Defamation League Torch of Liberty.
