THE CENTER OF GRAVITY FOR ENTREPRENEURS IN TEXAS

Meet & Greet with Arlan Hamilton
Come Meet Arlan Hamilton live in Austin, Texas!
About Arlan Hamilton: Arlan Hamilton is the Founder and Managing Partner of Backstage Capital, a venture capital firm dedicated to minimizing funding disparities in tech by investing in high-potential founders who are people of color, women, and/or LGBT. She is also the founder of Runner, an operations and HR talent source for inclusive startups. Started from scratch in 2015, Backstage Capital has now raised more than $20 million and invested in nearly 200 startup companies led by underestimated founders. Arlan was featured on the cover of Fast Company magazine as the first Black woman non-celebrity to do so. She is the author of “It’s About Damn Time,” and host of the popular weekly podcast “Your First Million”. Arlan and her mother, Mrs. Earline Butler-Sims, announced their scholarship program which kicked-off with scholarships for Black students at Oxford University and HBCU Dillard University.
About Backstage Capital: Backstage Capital has invested in nearly 200 companies led by underestimated founders. Less than 10% of all venture capital deals go to Women, People of Color, and LGBTQI+ founders. Other VCs may see this as a pipeline problem. For years, we have seen it as the biggest opportunity in investment.
About Runner: “Run your company… at the speed of you.” Runner connects outstanding operations talent with the most inclusive startups.
