Calling all engineers, Artists, Enthusiasts, and Experts… Join Capital Factory and guest speaker, Brandon Peavler, at this month’s VR Cafe! VR Cafe is 1 part presentation, 1 part hackathon. Come hear about new topics in the XR industry, then stick around afterward to work on your projects beside like-minded people!

Brandon will conduct a presentation discussing the evolution of AR filters and its influence on media platforms. We will begin by giving a brief overview of AR platforms, and how AR filters are making an impact on social media. Then, we will delve into business use cases, discussing how companies are using the filters! We will close the presentation with a tutorial creating an Austin FC filter using Snapchat’s Lens Studio.

For beginners, you will leave this Meetup with the knowledge of AR filters and how to start a project on your own. For intermediate and expert attendees, you will have a safe space and mentorship to continue working on your personal projects. Everyone will be able to walk away with an awesome filter they created!

You are welcome to work on anything immersive-realities related, whether that is your own project or a new experience – all abilities are welcome!
