Jay worked in consulting for five years before heading to business school where, on his first day, he met the two classmates that together would co-found the world’s leading online shipping marketplace, uShip.

After ten years growing uShip globally and through four rounds of funding, Jay left in 2014 to co-found several early-stage consumer-focused companies in Austin including Everfest, Roverpass, and Hitch. Jay is also a co-founder and board member of the Startup Games and serves on the ATX Seed Ventures’ LP Advisory Council.

As an entrepreneur, Jay loves the early to mid-stage challenges in building teams and scaling business models, especially consumer and marketplace focused, and often in “un-sexy” niches. Jay’s experience lies in product strategy, finance, operations, and analytics.

Jay earned a B.A., in Chemistry & Philosophy from UNC-Chapel Hill, a Masters in Accounting from UNC-Chapel Hill, and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business, UT-Austin.
