Ron Brien is a software-as-as-service (SaaS) sales and marketing expert and technology start-up advisor. Ron offers 15+ years of hands-on experience gained while steering Cloud (SaaS) companies through high-growth and pivotal moments to category leadership, market repositioning, and successful exits. Ron is adept at corporate branding, product positioning, demand generation, sales enablement and marketing technology and operations.
Previously, Ron honed his skills at Fortune 50 enterprises (Dell, HP) and as part of exciting VC raises, IPOs and acquisitions for high-growth start-ups Omniture (IPO, acquired by Adobe -$1.8B), and RightNow Technologies (IPO, acquired by Oracle $1.5B.) Prior to returning to Austin, TX, Ron lived and worked in Manhattan, New York, at Sailthru, Inc. (raised $48M), TagMan, Inc. (acquired by Ensighten), and Venda Cloud E-commerce (acquired by NetSuite.)
Ron is passionate about people and building great cultures and high performing teams. His international teams have won multiple independent digital, corporate and product marketing awards such as the American Business’s Stevie® Awards, Customer Inter@ction Solutions, PhocusWright Innovation Awards and Interactive Media Awards.
Outside of professional pursuits, Ron enjoys golf, outdoor activities and Austin’s live music scene. Ron also believes strongly that companies should contribute to the communities they thrive in and he commits his time and resources to ending homelessness.
Ronald holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Montana State University, and an MBA from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration.
