The Austin Blockchain Collective is hosting its 2nd Town Hall Meeting & Showcase, which will provide an opportunity to learn more about recent and planned Collective activities, new companies and projects, and find out more about working groups – both existing and being announced!
Overview
Key focuses for the evening will be (a) blockchain interoperability and (b) the application of blockchains and crypto technology to the supply chain vertical.
Agenda:
6pm – Doors open, registration, networking.
6.15pm – Welcome, Patron acknowledgements and update on Austin Blockchain Collective activities and plans for 2019 – Presented and discussed by Pete Harris, Executive Director, Austin Blockchain Collective.
6.30pm – SXSW announcement regarding SXSW PITCH event – how to be involved + SXSW ticket giveaway. Presentation by Chris Valentine, Event Producer, SXSW.
6.40pm – Feature Presentation: Blockchain …Right Technology / Right Time?
– What do blockchain’s benefits really look like in the real world?
– Is it all about business or does the consumer have a say?
– What happens if everyone knows about blockchain?
– And what are the ramifications for businesses and brands?
– A broad overview of what mass adoption means for businesses and individuals in the trust economy.

7.10pm – Update on Austin Blockchain Collective’s Dell Medical School/Healthcare Working Group, presented by Joshua Konkle, CEO, Pounchpoints & Associate Director, Austin Blockchain Collective.
7.20pm – Announcement of Austin Blockchain Collective Interoperability Working Group.
7.25pm – Feature Presentaiton: What is Interoperability, Why is it Important, and How is Wanchain Solving This Problem?
Members of Wanchain’s global leadership team from Beijing, London and Madrid will be in Austin. The team will walk the audience through the concept of interoperability.
7.55pm – Announcement of Austin Blockchain Collective Supply Chain Working Group. Scene Setting presentation: Blockchain Meets Supply Chain, by Pete Harris, Co-Founder & Research Principal, Chain Business Insights.
8.15pm – Feature Presentation: TBA by Alexandra Tinsman, Regional Head, North America, NEM.
8.45pm – Wrap Up and Adjourn.

The event is free to attend but registration is required – use the REGISTER button on the right. All registrations will be reviewed and qualified. Space is limited by room size and preference will be given to industry professionals.
