Business and technical leaders looking to understand and leverage additive manufacturing (3D printing) in their organizations. The goal of the meet-up is to inform, inspire, and educate industry thought leaders on different topics related to Additive Manufacturing (AM). Understand the costs and benefits of additive manufacturing, and learn how to successfully incorporate AM into your company’s strategic plans. Potential benefits are decreased time to market, quick turn iterations on product design, prototyping and concept presentation, production line efficiencies, short run manufacturing, and supply chain optimization.
Kubernetes Austin is the official Kubernetes meetup for Austin, Texas. We host talks from anyone doing cool things with Kubernetes, including companies using K8S in production or vendors who are pushing the boundaries of what K8S can do. Presentations are demo focused and not sales pitches.
This group follows these three central ideas:
• We believe in open sponsorships, so anyone can cover the cost of food, space, and travel for speakers. To not price out smaller vendors, sponsorship prices are not set beyond the cost. Organizations donating speakers, food/drinks, or space will automatically count as sponsors for the event.
• We believe in democratized organization, so anyone in the Kubernetes community that wants to help organize can be a part of process.
• We believe that all Kubernetes Meetups should be democratic and those that do not allow others to take part in organizing and sponsoring are not in the spirit of open source.
To become an organizer, sponsor, or speaker, please reach out to us!

Austin Deep Learning Journal Club is group for committed machine learning practitioners and researchers alike. The group meets every other Tuesday evening in Downtown Austin to discuss research publications. The publications are usually the ones that laid foundation to ML/DL or explore novel promising ideas and are selected by a vote. Participants are expected to read the publications to be able to contribute to discussion and learn from others. This is also a great opportunity to showcase your implementations and reproductions to get feedback from other experts.
Anyone can suggest and vote for the next paper on Austin Deep Learning Slack workspace (#paper_group channel): https://austin-deep-learning-slack.herokuapp.com/
Space is limited to keep the discussions organized, so please RSVP if you are certain that you will be participating.
Join us for free learning, food, drinks, and networking as we walk through the concepts of, and build an app with, React Hooks and GraphQL.
About this Event
As web developers we are notorious for always chasing the newest, shiniest toy, but don’t be fooled – GraphQL and React Hooks are here to stay!
The ISO/IEC just established a GQL (GraphQL) spec (the last time ISO created a totally new database spec was SQL, back in 1987!) and an ever-increasing number of React libraries are now using hooks, so what better time than the present to learn about these exciting new tools?
Join us as we explain the core concepts behind React Hooks and GraphQL, and then apply our fancy new knowledge to build an app in a code-along workshop.
We’ll provide food, drinks (including beer!), an opportunity to network, and plenty of useful information – all you need is a willingness to learn and your laptop, with Node already installed.
We are hosting this event as a partner of DeveloperWeek, but that doesn’t mean you have to buy a ticket to DeveloperWeek to attend – this event is open to everyone so feel free to join us!
6-6:30 – networking, with drinks (including beer!) and heavy hors d’oeuvres
6:30-8:30 – workshop
8:30-9 – networking, Q&A
