THE CENTER OF GRAVITY FOR ENTREPRENEURS IN TEXAS

Hack Coronavirus: Ideation

March 6, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm
RSVP FOR THIS EVENT

Austin faces a new challenge with the Coronavirus threat. How will we respond? Will we lead or will we run?

We’ll join together in a “town hall” with members of the innovation community from healthcare, technology, public policy, and other disciplines to identify best practices and proactive measures we can take to prepare Austin for the threat of the Coronavirus during SXSW and beyond. Then we’ll break into teams to work on projects all weekend.

We can be a best-in-class city by stepping up to help other conferences and cities around the world learn from our experience by creating design-oriented solutions that will educate, inform, and prepare the public.

-How can we protect ourselves
-How can we protect our community?
-How can we help others help themselves?

What will we do on Friday?

– Get a State of the Virus from real health experts. Moderated by Evan Smith.

– Hear lightning pitches with ideas from the community. Submit your lightning pitch idea here.

– Demo your technology solution. Submit your tech demo here.

– Participate in breakout sessions on topics that you are most passionate about. How can we “replace the handshake?” What should standard SXSW signage look like and where does it go? What technology solutions, if any, are feasible to implement?

What will we do on Saturday and Sunday?

Come hack detection solutions to evaluate the risk of potential exposure to the coronavirus.

Jump into the challenge and dig deep. There will be opportunities to ask subject matter experts questions and gather feedback.

Teams will have time to refine and prepare their solution for final judging. Register for Saturday and Sunday hacking events here.
