Learn to craft a compelling pitch for your startup in a friendly, risk-free environment. We’ll start the workshop with a presentation from pitch coach and CF Mentor Wen Zhang. After the presentation, founders who attend can practice their live pitch then receive live feedback from CF Mentors and Investors.
During the workshop, we will discuss:
- Crafting a story-centric demo day pitch (3 to 5 minutes)
- Building a slide deck to accompany your pitch
- Preparing on the day of your pitch
You’ll walk away with:
- An outline of your pitch structure
- Knowledge of how to build a unique investor pitch that gets to YES
- Winning mindset and strategy to use on pitch day
- Feedback on your pitch from CF Mentors & Investors
Wen Zhang Bio:
Wen is the Founder and CEO of INNW Institute, with a mission to empower and support founders to grow and scale their business via pitching.
Wen succeeds in both the startup and corporate world experiencing in software, hardware, and service-based business models. She has experience in launching a new business, expanding the market internationally, and scaling and managing global enterprise business. In a Fortune 500 company, she is leading a $320M yearly product portfolio while managing 400 sales teams across the North American region. She is passionate about supporting founders to grow and scale their ventures, working through their business model as well as the pitching process to connect and resonate with investors and customers via pitch deck.
Wen holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Advertising from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Duke University.

This is a group for software and hardware engineers of Hispanic ethnicity to showcase their knowledge and experience, and to build their professional network. If you’re not Hispanic, this is a great place to get to know Austin’s Hispanic hacker community! Our meetings feature topics in software and hardware technology presented by Austin’s Hispanic hackers. Come meet with us, showcase your accomplishments, learn from each other, and get to know your fellow Hispanic hackers! All skill levels and career stages are welcome.
A chance to meet with healthcare professionals and care professionals after work hours. Sub-specialty, doctors, and nurses are welcomed to share current concerns and problems with day to day hardware and software.
Current healthcare IT folks are encouraged to share the latest updates to ONC certification, HIPAA best practices, and FHIR systems.
Each event will start with 1 minute introductions from every attendee that includes their current position and what they are looking for help on and what expertise they can share with anyone else looking for help.

The Center of Gravity Toastmasters normally meets every Thursday from 12:05 – 1:00 pm every Thursday each month on Zoom. On the fourth Thursday of each month, we meet at Capital Factory from 7:00 – 8:00 pm in downtown Austin. You have the option of attending this meeting either in person or online.

We showcase multiplayer VR games that take no experience to play & a few single player leaderboard challenges
We’re a community of friendly VR Developers, Artists, Enthusiasts, and people who’ve never even played in VR before! We play really easy to pick up motion sickness free VR games at public events, and test developer’s multiplayer games in private events. It’s a good place to meet VR players, so you can play more VR!
When you’re not in VR, there will be plenty of devs, artists and enthusiasts to talk with on the sidelines, we talk about development, code, games, VR, AR, Tech, gameplay, multiplayer experiences, startups, tech stuff, and sometimes pizza.
Don’t have a headset? No worries. We’ve got plenty of headsets; you don’t need a computer to join!
Deep learning offers exciting solutions to an array of computer vision, natural language processing, and other data science problems, made possible by faster computing, richer data sets, and open source frameworks.
We invite talks from machine learners and data scientists applying deep learning to solve problems along with tutorials and lessons learned. Talks are open to all Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, etc.).
A meet your co-founder/investor/business dev event but everyone who participates must pitch in front of the group. If you aren’t willing to pitch you can’t enter and must leave. The group gives each speaker direct feedback which is priceless. This makes networking afterward easy because everyone in the room knows exactly who everyone is and what their intentions are. This meetup is for everyone regardless of what you do or what industry you’re in! No slide decks or props allowed.
