This month we are featuring Marc Nathan, Vice President, Client Strategy at Egan Nelson LLP, and Jonathan Chavez, Venture Associate at Capital Factory.
Speakers
Marc Nathan serves as VP of Client Strategy in E/N’s Technology and Venture Capital practice group. As a deeply experienced and connected consultant in the Texas technology startup community, Marc assists E/N’s early-stage clients with fundraising strategy, including targeting and connecting with angel and VC investors within and outside of local markets, structuring financing rounds, and general strategic advisory with respect to seed and early-stage fundraising. Marc also enjoys facilitating connections between founders and other advisors, executives, and service providers throughout the various ecosystems in which he works.
Prior to joining Egan Nelson, Marc founded T-Squared Agency, a boutique consulting firm supporting selected clients with comprehensive funding strategies. Through T-Squared, Marc launched the Texas-Squared Startup Newsletter that covers startup news, opinions and events that affect the startup and tech community in the Lone Star State, and publishes the Texas Startup Resource guide.
Jonathan Chavez is a Dallas-based venture associate for Capital Factory, the center of gravity for entrepreneurs in Texas. Jonathan spends his time sourcing tech startups for Capital Factory’s accelerator program and fund. Prior to Capital Factory, Jonathan spent six years in banking, most recently with J.P. Morgan’s Technology & Disruptive Commerce Group, and Wells Fargo prior to that role. Additionally, Jonathan was part of the founding team of Neu Robotics, an autonomous UAV robotics company; his roles included business development, fundraising, and operations. Jonathan graduated from The University of Tennessee’s Global Leadership Scholars program with a degree in finance/economics/international business. He’s an avid music fan who spends a lot of his free time attending live (or virtual) music festivals/shows, attempting to read Dune, and playing games (currently Warzone/Ghost of Tsushima/Among Us/Genshin Impact).
We’re a group that focuses on design best practices for data visualizations, presentations, and infographics. DFW Data Visualization is a professional group that meets regularly to discuss data visualization, data communication, infographics, data analysis, charts and graphs, visual marketing, and more! We want to interact and learn from designers, marketers, and experts that are willing to share their work, discuss case studies, provide insights, and discover data visualization tools.
