PowerUp Tech Talk: D&I in the Austin Tech Ecosystem
SXSW Chief Programming Officer Hugh Forrest talks with Mentor Method CEO Janice Omadeke about the success of the recently concluded Mosaic Awards, which honor business leaders who represent the very best of Austin’s fast-growing diversity and inclusion space. Other issues they will cover in this free-form conversation include the strengths (and challenges) of the Central Texas startup scene, especially as compared to Omadeke’s recent experiences in Washington DC.
Janice Omadeke is the CEO and Founder of The Mentor Method, an enterprise platform helping companies keep and develop their diverse talent using the proven power of mentorship. Her company won Capital Factory’s $100K Women in Tech Challenge, is a MassChallenge Texas Gold winner, and has been featured in respected publications including The Washington Business Journal and Entrepreneur Magazine. Black Enterprise magazine recognizes Janice as one of DC’s top 5 black women in tech, and she was a subject matter expert at the 2016 White House Summit on Building the Tech Workforce of Tomorrow.
